The Frederick County Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate the armed robbery of the Woodsboro Liquor Store. On January 24, 2015 at approximately 9:45 p.m., the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Woodsboro liquor store, located on South Main Street in Woodsboro, for a report of an armed robbery. Through its investigation, the Frederick County Bureau of Investigation learned the suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk at the cash register. The Woodsboro Liquor store fell victim to an armed robbery tonight. Police are currently seeking a white male suspect who was wearing a neon or orange mask. A Maryland State Police helicopter is aiding in the search. A perimeter has been set up around town.

Gerald Campbell, a forty-two year old security guard from Frederick, was shot multiple times with a handgun while he sat in his silver Hyundai behind the Goodwill store at Discovery Crossing Shopping Center. Mr. Campbell is listed in critical condition at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. On Tuesday, December 16, 2014, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Michael Anthony Faya, a twenty-five year old of Walkersville, on charges of possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of paraphernalia. At approximately 3:25 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Links Bridge Rd at the Monocacy River for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
