New Walkersville Library Set to Open Doors March 10

Final preparations are underway to open the doors to Walkersville’s new library. The new facility will open on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Located on South Glade Road, the 15,000 square-foot facility will replace the current and smaller Walkersville library. The new building will offer an expanded collection; a science, technology, engineering and mathematics lab; meeting rooms; computers and more to better meet the needs of the community. Maryland State Police arrested a man early Thursday morning in the stabbing of his estranged wife in Frederick County. The suspect, Jeremiah William Snyder, 36, of 16 Maple Avenue in Walkersville, is charged with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault.
