Joseph Elwood Hummer, age 100, passed away at his home, 7 N. Jefferson St., Frederick, MD on November 13, 2019 in the presence of his beloved wife, Bernadine Hummer and his family. He was the son of Raymond M Hummer and Edith M (Crum) Hummer. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond M Hummer, Jr and a sister, Nellie H Snell. Crews are trained and skilled in snow removal With unseasonably cold temperatures in Frederick County, the Division of Public Works (DPW), Office of Highway Operations, is prepared to help keep roads cleared should a winter storm affect the area. The top priority is keeping drivers safe and maintaining accessibility to Frederick County’s 2,638 miles (1,319 miles centerline) of roadway. Lions Win First Playoff Game

The Walkersville Lions took down the Oakdale Bears when it mattered most Friday night. After falling to the Bears a few weeks ago, the Lions roared back with a 28-27 win in the first week of playoff games for Maryland’s Class 2A Teams.
