Walkersville Southern Railroad will begin work on the Devilbiss Bridge Rd intersection on Monday, March 20, 2023. The message boards and detour signs are in position, notifying of the road closure. The roadway and railway work will take approximately five days to complete.

Read MoreStarting Monday, November 22, 2021, vehicles traveling on Sandstone Drive will no longer be able to turn left on to MD 194. New signage and road striping will be added. Temporary billboard signs will also be in the area to alert drivers of the change. The Town of of Walkersville’s Planning Commission made the traffic changes a requirement of Dollar General’s site plan approval. Dollar General’s contractors will be making these changes over the next few days.
