UPDATE: PNC Bank Offering $5000 Reward

On January 17, 2017, at approximately 1:00 P.M., a white male entered the PNC Bank located at 8 E. Main Street in Emmitsburg, MD. The suspect approached the teller, demanded cash and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was displayed or mentioned by the suspect. The suspect left in an unknown direction. Louie’s Ice Cream Robbed

The Labor Day weekend brought more crime to Walkersville when Louie’s Ice Cream was robbed. Louie Hani, owner of Royal Chicken and Louie’s Ice Cream, said he found the crime had occured when he returned to town from Charlestown, West Virginia. The criminals broke into the trailer which houses Louie’s ice cream business. They damaged some of the trailer and the sno-cone machine. Unable to open the cash drawer on his register, the criminals stole the entire cash register. The register contained hundreds of dollars. Louie contacted Maryland State Police,…

Break-Ins This Morning

Vehicle break-ins took place again this morning in the Deerfield neighborhood of Walkersville. The culprits were caught on camera early this morning attempting to break into vehicles at one home in town. The photos below were captured and the police were called. A video of the crime was also captured, and GladeValley.net will post that as soon as we receive the file. Now, the Police need the community’s assistance in identifying the criminals.
