Are you interested in serving on a Town Commission? The Town of Walkersville is currently looking to fill at least two positions on the Economic Development Commission (EDC). The Economic Development Commission (EDC) will work to retain existing businesses, attract desirable new businesses and improve economic activities benefiting local businesses and residents. Summer Solstice 8K Race To Close Streets and Park in Walkersville

The 2022 Summer Solstice 8K Race will be this Saturday, June 18th in Walkersville. The race will begin in front of the Firehall on W. Frederick Street, heading up to take a left on Glade Road, taking a right onto Devilbiss Bridge Road, a loop around the road in Heritage Farm Park, and then reverse course back to the Firehall. Charles Albert (“Charlie”) Nicodemus, life-long resident of Walkersville, MD, passed into Glory on May 28, 2022, with members of his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Kathryn Zimmerman Nicodemus. In addition to his devoted wife of 70 years, he is survived by two children and their spouses, John C.
