  TROOPERS SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN WALKERSVILLE SHOOTING Maryland State Police investigators continue seeking help from citizens who may have information about the shooting of a Frederick man found injured in his car. Gerald Campbell, 42, of Frederick, Md., was found shot at about 9:30 p.m. on January 22, 2015. Theft at Walkers Village Center

Maryland State Police seek the help of the public to identify a suspect in a string of thefts that occured last week. During the week of March 16, 2015, employees of Safeway in the Walker’s Village Center experienced theft from their vehicles. In the two reported cases, the suspect, a woman shown in the pictures below, stole keys from the employees coats or purses and accessed their vehicles. Vacant Properties and Blight in Walkersville

The Walkersville Planning Commission spent a considerable portion of their public hearing last night discussing two proposed ordinances from the Town’s Economic Development Commission. Town Commissioner Russ Winch, representative on both commissions, explained that Burgess Ralph Whitmore wants this to be a priority. The Burgess and Town Commissioners assigned the EDC to develop and ordinance, and the proposal was then sent to the Planning Commission.
