MSPSHIELDTROOPERS SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN WALKERSVILLE SHOOTING

Maryland State Police investigators continue seeking help from citizens who may have information about the shooting of a Frederick man found injured in his car.

Gerald Campbell, 42, of Frederick, Md., was found shot at about 9:30 p.m. on January 22, 2015. Campbell was found in a silver Hyundai Tiburon, parked behind a retail store in the 8000-block of Woodsboro Pike in Walkersville, minutes after troopers had been dispatched there in response to a report of shots fired.

A $2,000 cash reward is being offered by the family of Mr. Campbell for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for this shooting. Callers may remain anonymous. Anyone with information is urged to contact Master Trooper Ronald Mullen at the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack at 301-600-4172.

Maryland State Police investigators have received some leads and information from the public, but are hoping others with information come forward to help police bring the person or persons responsible for this shooting to justice. Investigators believe there are citizens in the Walkersville area who have important information that would be of great assistance to their investigation.
