Roger Johnson Retires from GVCS Board

Mr. Roger Johnson recently announced his retirement from the Glade Valley Community Services Board of Directors. He has served on the Board and been active in GVCS since 2005. Among his many jobs, Roger arranged choir concerts with area choir directors as a fundraiser for GVCS. He wrote the thank you notes to donors. Roger was a former editor of this newsletter; Catherine, his wife of fifty-seven years, helped him with the newsletter and mailing. School Supplies Distributed

Recognizing that the cost of school supplies can be prohibitive for some families, Glade Valley Community Services, Inc. conducts a school supply distribution each year to help students get a jump start on the school year. Holiday Toy Shoppe

Glade Valley Community Services’ Holiday Toy Shoppe is gearing up again this year to help provide a wonderful Christmas to many less fortunate children in our community. Last year the Holiday Toy Shoppe provided new clothes, shoes, toys and books to 171 children and gift cards and books to 77 teens. This program is supported by the generosity of the churches, schools, businesses and individuals in our community.
