On Saturday, October 17, 2015, at approximately 11:13 p.m., multiple gunshots were fired in the area of Discovery Boulevard and Stauffer Road. At the time, numerous people were leaving a party being held at the Discovery Recreation Center. Investigators are requesting assistance in identifying the individual, shown here, who is believed to have attended the party. Surveillance video footage indicates that this individual discharged shots from a handgun while near the playground area outside the recreation center. Gerald Campbell, the Goodwill security guard shot multiple times Thursday night, remains at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma in Baltimore. His condition has been upgraded to “serious” according to Chris Lindsey of the University of Maryland Medical Center Public Affairs. Gerald Campbell, a forty-two year old security guard from Frederick, was shot multiple times with a handgun while he sat in his silver Hyundai behind the Goodwill store at Discovery Crossing Shopping Center.
