Patient Remains in Serious Condition and Police Still Seeking Information
It seems like an average day at the Discovery Crossing Shopping Center, today. The parking lot was full of cars as patrons shopped, saw their eye doctors, dined in the restaurants, or saw an accountant. A week ago tonight, this location saw a horrific crime. A still unknown assailant shot Gerald Campbell, a Goodwill security guard, multiple times.
Mr. Campbell, aged forty-two, remains in serious condition at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Maryland State Police flew Mr. Campbell to Baltimore after he was found in his car by the operators of the nearby pizza restaurant.
This afternoon, Sgt. Marc Black, of the Maryland State Police, stated that there was “no new information” on this case since police first asked for the public’s assistance. Police continue to ask anyone with information relevant to the investigation to call the Frederick Barrack at 301-600-4151. Callers can remain anonymous.
