New Burgess and Town Commissioners Sworn In

The Town of Walkersville began a new chapter with a new Burgess and Town Commissioners Wednesday evening. Chad Weddle, who has served as a Town Commissioner for the past nineteen years, took the oath of office becoming Walkersville Burgess before a large crowd in Walkersville Town Hall. Mr. Weddle succeeds Ralph Whitmore, who served as Burgess for the past sixteen years. A new board of Town Commissioners were also sworn into office. Walkersville Honors Veterans

The Town of Walkersville celebrated Veterans’ Day a few days early on Sunday, November 9th during a Veterans’ Day Service at Memorial Park. Commissioner Donald Schildt, Sr. organizes the annual event and served as master of ceremonies. He welcomed the larger than usual crowd and made introductions.
