Mike grew up on a small farm in Frederick County, and graduated from Frederick High School, Frederick Community College, and the University of Maryland. Walkersville Planning Commission Workshop on Blight

The Town of Walkersville’s Planning Commission will hold a workshop on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 to discuss issues related to vacant, blighted, neglected and abandoned properties. At their last public hearing, the Planning Commission asked to review two ordinances proposed by the Walkersville Economic Development Commission (EDC) with the town’s attorney, code enforcement officer, and members of the EDC at this month’s workshop. Dental care remains the greatest unmet health need among U.S. children. Over 50% of children have a cavity, which can cause pain leading to missed school. The SMILE Program is scheduled to visit New Midway / Woodsboro Elementary School on April 24, 2015. Enrollment forms were sent home with students on Thursday.
