Comcast Lines Torn Down

Comcast crews had a mess of wires to clean-up after their lines were pulled from the poles at the exit of Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company on Sunday.  Both entrances and exits to the Fire Company were blocked when GladeValley.net was on the scene. Rosedale Attracitions and Shows, the company providing rides and attractions for the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company Carnival, brought the lines down. David Brinkley, Republican Candidate for Maryland State Senate District 4

David Brinkley, a life-long resident of Frederick County, has served District 4 in the Maryland State Senate since 2002.  He currently serves as the Minority Leader in the Senate.  He seeks his party’s nomination to continue serving District 4 as State Senator. Ralph Whitmore, Republican Candidate for County Council District 5

Ralph Whitmore grew up in Walkersville, Maryland and has been a part of the local government as an elected official for many years.   He currently serves as Burgess, and has also served as a Town Commissioner and on various boards and commissions. A life-long volunteer of the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company, Ralph served as President of WVFC from 1976 – 1983, and continues to be heavily involved with the fire company. Break-Ins Rampant in Walkersville, Again

Old Town Walkersville fell victim to a rash of break-ins overnight Wednesday into Thursday.  The criminals broke into vehicles stealing items of value and money. These crimes continue to be a recurring issue for residents.  A few cars were broken into a few weeks ago.  Last summer, Maryland State Police arrested an individual who was caught with items from some of the vehicles broken into at that time. A Beautiful Weekend

The weekend started beautifully with clear skies and warm weather.  The community quickly took advantage of dry weather by tending yards, community gardens at Heritage Farm Park, and lots of athletics in the park.
