Break-Ins Rampant in Walkersville, Again
Old Town Walkersville fell victim to a rash of break-ins overnight Wednesday into Thursday. The criminals broke into vehicles stealing items of value and money.
These crimes continue to be a recurring issue for residents. A few cars were broken into a few weeks ago. Last summer, Maryland State Police arrested an individual who was caught with items from some of the vehicles broken into at that time.
Most vehicles’ broken into were left unlocked. Police encourage residents to keep their vehicles’ doors locked and items secured.
Police also ask anyone who has been a victim to report the crime by calling the non-emergency number for the resident troopers at 301-898-0200 or 301-600-4151. If a crime is in progress, dial 911.
