At 08:22 a.m. on February 22, 2016, Frederick County Emergency Communication Center dispatched units from Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies for a vehicle collision at Maryland Route 26 and Waterside Drive in the City of Frederick. Engine Tanker 114 and Chief 11 arrived on the scene to find multiple vehicles involved in rear-end collisions off to the side of the roadway. One patient remained in a vehicle. Motor Vehicle Accident on Crum Road

At 5:30 a.m. on February 19, 2016, Frederick County Emergency Communications Center dispatched units from Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies for a vehicle accident in the 8400 block of Crum Road in Walkersville. Chief 11-1 arrived on the scene to find one car off the roadway and a patient out of the car. Engine 111 arrived on the scene to check the car for any leaking fluids. Ambulance 247 arrived on the scene to start patient care. Patient refused transport. Units went in service as ready.

Overturned Vehicle on 194 in the Snow

At 5:36 p.m. this evening, Maryland State Police Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies were dispatched to MD 194 and Challedon Drive for a reported vehicle accident with rollover. Chief 24 arrived on the scene to find one vehicle on its roof in a ditch with one patient self extricated. Chief 11, Ambulance 246, Engine Tanker 114, and Rescue Squad 24 arrived on the scene. Rescue Squad 24 assisted with traffic control, and assisted the crew of Ambulance 246 with patient care. Engine Tanker 114 provided lightning and traffic control.…

At 06:40 Co. 24 was dispatched for A246(Bariatric Unit) to assist Co.12 with a Bariatric patient. A246 AOS to set-up the unit while Co.12 and a crew member begin to package the patient to be loaded. Patient was then transported to FMH.

Chimney Fire in Walkersville

The Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company and the Walkersville Volunteer Rescue Company responded to a chimney fire at 53 Main Street in Walkersville shortly before 5:00 p.m. this afternoon. Black billows of smoke poured from the chimney of the house and flames were visible. The apparatus responding blocked Main Street and parts of Five Corners. Junior Fire Company also responded to the call. Firefighters fought the fire from the roof and within the home. The fire was extinguished quickly.
