At 06:40 Co. 24 was dispatched for A246(Bariatric Unit) to assist Co.12 with a Bariatric patient. A246 AOS to set-up the unit while Co.12 and a crew member begin to package the patient to be loaded. Patient was then transported to FMH.

Bariatric ambulances feature special equipment to transport severely obese patients. Over the next few weeks, the unit will get a new paint job. After its paint job, a special ramp and stretcher system will be installed in May. The company hopes to have the unit in service by July 1st. When it goes into service as a bariatric unit, it will adopt the designation of A246.
