Shooting in Discovery

Gerald Campbell, a forty-two year old security guard from Frederick, was shot multiple times with a handgun while he sat in his silver Hyundai behind the Goodwill store at Discovery Crossing Shopping Center. Mr. Campbell is listed in critical condition at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Shooting in Discovery

A security guard for Goodwill was shot multiple times while he sat in his silver Hyundai behind the Goodwill store at Discovery Shopping Center. Police have identified the victim who was transported to Shock Trauma, but will not release the identity until the family is notified. Maryland State Police and Frederick County Sheriff Deputies continue to search for a suspect on land and by air. Walkersville High School Athletic Events Re-Scheduled

Three Walkersville High School athletic events have been re-scheduled due to yesterday’s snow storm. Frederick County Public Schools cancelled all evening activities last night.  As a result, a basketball game, wrestling match, and swim meet were cancelled. Those events will now be scheduled as follows. Clipper Delivers Snow With Little Impact

Wednesday brought hopes of a snow day for children and teachers around the region. The Alberta Clipper held off until mid-morning and wrapped up before the end of school. Students and teachers stared out upon the falling snow in anticipation of an early release. All that pining was for naught. A few inches fell on Glade Valley, but the impact was light.
