Planning Commission Approves Parkside Development Plan

The initial site plan for Parkside on Biggs Ford Road was approved by the Walkersville Planning Commission last night. The vote came after the Planning Commission sent the developers to the Burgess and Town Commissioners for approval of certain aspects of their plans and approval to donate part of their land to the town for an addition to Walkersville Community Park. The day after a day long snow storm that dumped over ten inches of snow in some areas of Glade Valley brought temperatures that felt like spring time to many residents. The high temperature Sunday was more than forty degrees warmer than the low temperature on Saturday. After weeks of arctic temperatures, the near average temperatures felt balmy as everyone shoveled and plowed the snow that blanketed the area.
