Behavior of Middle School Students at Homecoming Game Prompt New Policies

The Administration at Walkersville High School and Walkersville Middle School shared a very important message regarding the behavior of middle school students at Varsity Football Games this morning. During the Homecoming Game this past Friday night, the school made an announcement at half-time addressing the behavior of the middle school students in attendance. Although the behavior improved slightly after the announcement, incidents still occurred causing the WHS Administration and Law Enforcement to intervene and in some cases have students removed from the game. Walkersville Middle School’s Family Life materials will be on display from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the Media Center. Health teachers will be available to answer questions. Parents may preview Family Life materials for this school year at Walkersville Middle School on Tuesday, September 8 through Thursday, September 10, 2015. Parents with questions may use the provided contact sheet to leave information and a Health teacher will be in contact.
