Local photographer, Stephanie Lyons, will soon be opening a studio on West Pennsylvania Avenue in Walkersville. With a lifelong passion and ten years experience in photography, Mrs. Lyons started her photography business, Lyons Den Pictures. “I have had a passion for photography most of my adult life; from the picture of the smallest butterfly on a flower to the beautiful smile on my children’s face. After voting to support Frederick County’s Annual Road Priorities which places MD 194 as its top priority for secondary highways, trash and crime took up a lot of the discussions. After several weeks of discussion, the Town of Walkersville voted Wednesday night to support the county’s proposed annual transportation priorities which put MD 194 at the top of its list for secondary highways. The issue first arose during a visit by County Executive Jan Gardner’s visit to a Walkersville Town Meeting earlier this year.
