Fireworks in Walkersville Tonight

Last night, The Reagan Years and a Ride-All-Night Special drew a very large crowd to the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company’s Carnival. Tonight, the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company’s Carnival will feature all the wonderful food, games, and rides you expect tonight. The highlight, however, will come around 10:00 p.m. when the Fire Company hosts a celebration of Independence Day with its always wonderful fireworks display. Motor Vehicle Accident as Parade Begins

As units were lined up and ready for the Walkersville Homeotown parade to start on June 30, 2015, Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies units were dispatched to MD 194 and West Frederick Street for a vehicle accident. Dispatch reported one car on its side. Chief 11 arrived on the scene to confirm dispatch. Two vehicles were involved with one on its side. Two patients were found still in the car. Engine 111 arrived on the scene to pull 1 ¾ line for protection from fluids. Rescue Squad 24 arrived…

Reagan Years and Last Ride All Night Special

The Reagan Years will entertain crowds at the Walkersville Carnival tonight. The popular band always draws a large crowd and puts on a great show. Tonight’s All-You-Can-Eat Buffet will feature Fried Chicken, Ham, & Roast Turkey. The buffet is served in the air-conditioned and handicapped accessible fire hall from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tonight will also be the last Ride-All-Night Wristband Special from 6:00 – 10:30 p.m. Another $300 Raffle Drawing will be held on the grounds. Carnival Starts TONIGHT!

Volunteers worked through the rain on Saturday and continued on a beautiful Sunday to prepare for the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company’s Carnival which opens this afternoon! Tonight, enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet of fried chicken, roast beef, and ham from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the social hall. Walkersville Town Meeting

The Town of Walkersville held its Town Meeting on the evening of June 24, 2015. Burgess Ralph Whitmore was setting up the carnival grounds for next week’s Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company Carnival. Commissioner Chad Weddle ran the meeting in his absence. During the first item of business, Town Manager Gloria Long Rollins informed Commissioners that the owner of Walkers Overlook would not be making the required balloon payment for his loan on the Walker Farm as exepcted on July 1, 2015.
