Carnival Starts TONIGHT!
Volunteers worked through the rain on Saturday and continued on a beautiful Sunday to prepare for the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company’s Carnival which opens this afternoon!
Tonight, enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet of fried chicken, roast beef, and ham from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the social hall.
Kids of all ages will enjoy tonight’s Ride All Night wristband special. Rides open at 6:00 p.m. and run until 10:30 p.m.
The Full Effect Band will entertain the crowds all evening!
Of course, there will be the annual offerings of carnival food, games, and activities. The Walkersville FFA Alumni have set-up their Blue and Gold Barnyard to offer youth a chance to learn about local agriculture.
Tomorrow night will feature a Hometown Parade and the week’s first nightly raffle. This year’s parade route will be different from last year’s. The parade will line up on South Glade Road. At 6:30 p.m. the parade will proceed onto East Pennsylvania Avenue, left onto Main Street, Right onto Frederick Street proceeding to Carnival Grounds.
