Roll Over Closed U.S. 15
As reported on Wednesday, a vehicle accident at U.S. 15 and Hessong Bridge Road closed the highway. At 12:43 p.m. Walkersville Volunteer Rescue and Fire Companies (Co.24 & Co.11, respectfully) were dispatched to for a vehicle accident with rollover. Chief 11-1 arrived on the scene and confirmed dispatch with one patient ejected.
Ambulance 229 arrived on the scene and started patient care. Soon after, Engine 221 arrived on the scene and pulled 1 ¾ line for fire protection from the leaking fluids.
Command requested aviation for the two patients, another Advanced Life Support unit, a third and fourth Basic Life Support units.
Ambulance 248 arrived on the scene and began patient care. Rescue Squad 24 arrived on the scene to assist the ambulance crews and control the leaking fluids.
Engine 111 arrived on scene to establish the landing zone and then assisted with loading the patients.
Ambulance 309 and Ambulance 247 arrived on the scene to help with patient care.
All patients were transported to Baltimore. Units went in service as ready and command was terminated.
