T.R. Saylor & Co Closing
One sad not of Walkersville Day was many residents finding that their local hardware store will be closing its doors. T.R. Saylor & Company provides residents with “just about anything you need,” according to one resident standing outside. One of the few remaining independent hardware stores in the area, the Horine family operated the store for many years.

The Frederick County Council decided yesterday to cancel its Friday, April 24, budget worksession. The consultants from Clifton, Larson, Allen LLP who made a presentation Wednesday before the council will review additional budget matters with the county’s Budget Office. The County Council will then schedule another public budget worksession in the near future with the consultants. The budget PowerPoint and exhibits presented to the council Wednesday are available at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/council.
