Search and Seizure Narcotics Arrest in Discovery

On Thursday, May 30th, 2019, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Section, assisted by High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) partners Maryland State Police, Frederick Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Brunswick Police Department, executed a search and seizure warrant in the 8700 block of Beacon Circle in Walkersville related to a drug investigation. As a result of the search warrant the following was seized:

  • Heroin/Fentanyl: 24.4 grams
  • Cocaine: 25.2 grams
  • Marijuana: 17.3 grams
  • $3,108.00 USD

During the execution of the warrant, Demetreus Grayson Bowie, 27, of Walkersville, was located on the second floor of the residence. Bowie refused commands of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and attempted to destroy evidence by flushing it down the toilet. Heroin/fentanyl and cocaine were recovered from the toilet still in plastic baggies. Bowie was charged with the following:

  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of heroin
  • Possession of cocaine
  • Possession of fentanyl
  • Possession with intent to distribute heroin/fentanyl mix
  • Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl
  • Possession with intent to distribute heroin
  • Concealing physical evidence
