The 2014 MLB postseason is upon us at last and of the ten teams remaining there is potential for some intriguing matchups such as a possible World Series showdown between the Orioles and the Nationals.

AL Wild Card Game- Oakland Athletics at Kansas City Royals (One Game)

Ben: Athletics- I picked the A’s back in August, and I’m not giving up on them yet.

Sam: Athletics- Even though they blew their lead in their division, they are still a better team than the Royals.

NL Wild Card Game- San Francisco Giants at Pittsburgh Pirates (One Game)

Ben: Giants- San Fran’s Bumgarner will dominate a mediocre Volquez.

Sam: San Francisco will win this game because of dominant hitting and pitching compared to the Pirates.

ALDS- Oakland/Kansas City vs. Los Angeles Angels (Best of Five)

Ben: Athletics 3 – Angels 1- Oakland’s pitching will carry them past the Angels Trout heavy offense

Sam: Athletics 3 – Angels 2- The Angels will steal a game or two from the A’s bullpen but the A’s aren’t as dependent on superstars like the Angels.

ALDS- Detroit Tigers vs. Baltimore Orioles (Best of Five)

Ben: Orioles 3 – Tigers 2- Baltimore’s offense will overpower the Tigers leaky bullpen

Sam: Tigers 3 – Orioles 2- The Tigers explosive offense will dominate a mediocre O’s starting pitching staff.

NLDS- San Francisco/Pittsburgh vs. Washington Nationals (Best of Five)

Ben: Nationals 3 – Giants 1- Washington is better in every phase of the game than San Francisco.

Sam: Nationals 3 – Giants 0- Washington will dominate in every aspect of the series and will clean sweep the Giants.

NLDS- St.Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Best of Five)

Ben: Dodgers 3 – Cardinals 1- Dodgers Kershaw and Greinke will lead the way.

Sam: Cardinals 3 – Dodgers 2- This rivalry in the playoffs is great and the Cardinals will win it again.

ALCS- (Best of Seven)

Ben: Orioles 4- Athletics 2- This is Baltimore’s year to finally make a run.

Sam: Tigers 4- Athletics 3- This will be a great series and the Tigers astounding starting pitching will lead the way.

NLCS- (Best of Seven)

Ben: Dodgers 4- Nationals 3- Washington is a very good team but the Dodgers are a great team.

Sam: Cardinals 4 – Nationals 2- Washington looks great but the Cardinals are even better.

World Series- (Best of Seven)

Ben: Dodgers 4 – Orioles 2- The Orioles magical season will come to an end against Puig (World Series MVP) and the Dodgers.

Sam: Cardinals 4 Tigers 3- The Tigers are inching closer to a World Series win, maybe they’ll get it next year. The MVP award will go to Matt Holiday.
