Walkersville Hosts Oakdale in First Post-Season Game
Oakdale at Walkersville 2017 2A West Region Semi-final November 10, 2017 All tickets cost $6.00 for spectators aged 7 and older. WHS students will be able to purchase advance tickets during all lunch shifts on Thursday, November 9. Advance tickets will also be for sale on Thursday, November 9 from 6:30-7:30 PM in the front lobby at WHS. Only MPSSAA passes are accepted for entry to playoff games. Tickets can also be purchased when the stadium gates open at 5:45PM on Friday, November 10.

Old Town Walkersville Scene of Attempted Murder
Maryland State Police arrested a man early Thursday morning in the stabbing of his estranged wife in Frederick County. The suspect, Jeremiah William Snyder, 36, of 16 Maple Avenue in Walkersville, is charged with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault. He is being held without bond at the Frederick County Detention Center.
