Daylight Savings Time Ends this Weekend!
Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour this weekend- And you know what that means! It’s time to change those smoke detector batteries again! New alarms that are being sold now have 10 year lithium-ion batteries and so do not need to be changed. But if you have traditional smoke alarms with 9volt batteries, please change the batteries this weekend!
Smoke alarm save lives! Don’t put your family at risk if your smoke alarms have dead batteries. Alarm should also be tested monthly to ensure they are working.

Chlorine Leak Evacuates High School
Earlier today, Walkersville High School students and staff evacuated the high school due to a chlorine leak and spill in the mechanical closet adjacent to the pool. Upon immediate detection of the leak, the administration evacuated the building and contacted the authorities. Within minutes, emergency personnel arrived on site and worked collaboratively with school officials. The area of contamination was contained and measures were taken immediately to shut down all HVAC systems and all air flow throughout the building.
