World Series Game 7 Tonight — Who Will Be World Champions?
WHS Lions Pride Original Story:
With Game 7 looming ever closer, the Giants and Royals thirst for the greatest title in all of baseball. The
Royals and Giants will battle it out tonight at 8:07pm in Kansas City.
This series has taken many unexpected turns, from the Royals winning 10-0 to force a game 7 and The
Giants shutting down the Royals offense in game 1.
Game 1: The Giants walk away a 7-1 victor. This game was ultimately a pitching duel, with Madison
Bumgarner coming up victorious. Kansas City’s ace, James Shields, was rather ineffective and failed to
control his pitches.
Game 2: This game started off with a bang as Giants outfielder, Gergor Blanco, homered off rookie
Royals’ pitcher Yordano Ventura on the first at bat of the game. Finally in the 6th
handle of Jake Peavey and scored 5 times with a homer from Infante and deep double from Perez. Final
score 7-2, Royals.
Game 3: This game was better matched; the final score was 3-2, Royals. Guthrie threw a solid 5 innings
and got the W. With a double from Alex Gordon, it propelled the Royals over the Giants.
Game 4: In this game, the Giants offense came together as a cohesive unit to score 11 runs against
Vargas and relief. Vogelsong held the Royals to only 4 runs. The Giants top the Royals 11-4.
Game 5: Bumgarner pitched a complete game shutout to get his second win of this series. The Giants 5-
0 top the Royals.
Game 6: Ventura and the offense won the game for the Royals in this one. With 7 innings from Ventura
without an earned run. Moustakas homered to finish of the scoring frenzy.
Game 7: I predict that the San Francisco Giants will come out victorious. With Guthrie over Hudson in a
close pitching showdown, the offense will be limited so pitching will be key.
Tune in tonight at 8:07pm for Game 7 that will decide the champions of the 2014 season.
