Women’s Giving Circle Grant Accepting Applications

The Women’s Giving Circle Grants Committee met recently to plan its 2017 grant cycle. They have exciting news – a minimum of $173,000 will be available to organizations that offer programs and services that promote self-sufficiency for women and the people for whom they are responsible.

The grant application opens on February 15, 2017 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on March 15, 2017. All applicants must apply online at www.WomensGivingCircleofFred.org/grants. A maximum of four proposals may be submitted, not to exceed $10,000 each, with a maximum total request of $20,000.

The Women’s Giving Circle was formed in 2006, and brings women together who share similar philanthropic goals to benefit women’s needs. In 2016, grants totaling $150,000 were presented to 17 area nonprofits, and since 2006, grants presented exceed $1 million.
