Walkersville Day 2014
Today is Walkersville Day, a day filled with yard sales, church fundraisers, and a chance for the whole town to enjoy spring.
The St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Pennsylvania Avenue hosts its annual Strawberry Festival, which may be the biggest draw in town. A bluegrass band entertains the crowd as they enjoy hot foods and strawberry desserts.
The Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Company also host events to pull in crowds. They offer hot dogs, drinks and Italian ices. Visitors can tour emergency vehicles, practice putting out fires, an even ride the bucket on the hook and ladder truck up into the sky.
Be sure to enjoy all that is offered by wandering up and down the streets of Old Town Walkersville.
