Televised Briefing on Snow Recovery

Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner provided a storm status report this morning. “We have about 80 – 90% of our residential roads open to at least one lane,” Gardner explained. A lot of snow has to be hauled away in some areas and plows are not effective. County Executive Gardner urged residents to continue to stay off of the roads, and businesses to remain closed or allow employees to work at home. Blizzard Clean-Up and Aftermath Continues

Glade Valley and the entire region continue to suffer the costs and burdens of the historic blizzard that dumped 35 inches of snow in Walkersville. Many neighborhoods in the county have not seen snow plows, at all. Frederick County, The City of Frederick, and Frederick County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday.
