Governor Closes I-70 and I-270

Effective immediately, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan declared I-70 from I-695 to I-81 and I-270 from I-495 to I-70 closed until Sunday morning at 7 a.m. These highways continue to be completely covered in snow. Pavement is not visible. The immediate closure of the entire 34.7-mile length of I-270 and I-70 from I-81 in Washington County to the Baltimore Beltway includes to all motorists except for emergency personnel.
