House Fire In Lewistown

At 04:52 Hrs. Frederick County ECC sounds tones for Box Alarm 22-18 for reported House fire bringing surrounding company’s. A248 was due on the initial assignment. BAT902 arrived on scene at Hessong Bridge Rd. confirming dispatch. BAT902 had a single story rancher, vacant home with heavy fire and established command. Command then requested the RIT to be dispatched bring A247 to the scene. A248 arrived on scene and established rehab. A247 arrived on scene and assisted A248 with rehab. Vehicle Fire in Old Town Walkersville

Shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Friday night, fire and rescue companies were dispatched to a fire at 31 East George Street in Walkersville.  The call originally went out as a house fire. Responding firefighters found the fire limited to a vehicle on or near the property. Multiple fire companies were called to the scene, but many were quickly put back into service. Shed Fire Closes Lanes and Roads

A shed fire behind the farm house at 8516 Woodsboro Pike closed lanes of Maryland 194, Fountain Rock Road, and was quickly followed by an accident at Maryland 194 and Stauffer Road Monday evening. Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company and Walkersville Volunteer Rescue Company responded with lots of equipment.  Explosions were reported from within the burning shed, and black smoke could be seen from U.S. 15.
