NEXT ROUND: Winter Storm Watch Issued by NWS
While the area tries desperately to deal with the subzero temperatures and wind chills, the weather news only gets worse as the new week begins. Forecasters predict the temperatures will drop lower overnight and dangerous wind chills will continue to plague most of the East Coast and Southern Plains of the United States. Adding to the woes, the National Weather Service now predicts five to eight inches of snow for our area Monday night into Tuesday.
Schools are already closed for students tomorrow, Presidents’ Day. The forecast will have kids performing their snow dances in hopes of extending a four day weekend.
