Parents, Students and Community Members, We opened our school this morning to 1104 students. Unfortunately our halls and hearts were missing one. As many of you may have heard or have become aware, one of our students, Jaggar Lawson Grade 11, died suddenly Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle while on his skateboard near Heritage Park. Sixteen Year Old on Skateboard Struck and Killed by Truck in Walkersville

A sixteen year old Walkersville High School student died Sunday night after being struck by a pickup truck while riding a skateboard in Walkersville. Maryland State Police report that Jaggar Ezra Lawson was riding his skateboard westbound on Devilbiss Bridge Road at Heritage Farm Park Road when he was struck by a pickup truck, also travelling westbound on Devilbiss Bridge Road.
