As the Town of Walkersville approved plans for the Sheetz expansion, officials negotiated with Sheetz to build the long planned Richard Winn Lane. The road was originally to be built by the developers of industrial land that was annexed into the Town of Walkersville, but that property has yet to be developed. Part of the negotiations included the Town of Walkersville’s desire to close Fountain Rock Road’s left turn movements at Woodsboro Pike. Local Farmers Seek Help in Hit and Run Collision

On May 5th around 8:00 am, a Ford truck hauling an antique tractor ran the red light at Devilbiss Bridge Road and MD 194 in Walkersville. The truck hit the side of a local farm family’s livestock trailer causing the damage seen in these pictures. The driver did not stop, causing the family to follow him down MD 194.
