A lot of activity has been taking place along Biggs Ford Road in Walkersville. The Parkside development saw curbs installed for the new streets serving the new community early this week. By Friday evening, the walls of the second floor were erected on the development’s first house. Walkersville Burgess and Commissioner Inducted into Hall of Fame

Burgess Chad Weddle and Town Commissioner Debbie Zimmerman were inducted into the Maryland Municipal League’s Hall of Fame. The Maryland Municipal League honors officials who have served over twenty years to municipal governments. To date, only two-hundred sixty people have been honored with induction to the Hall of Fame. Burgess Chad Weddle was first elected a Walkersville Town Commissioner in 1996. He was re-elected seven times to that position. In 2015, Weddle was elected to his first term as Burgess.
