Since moving to Walkersville, Mike and Emily's three children were born and attend local public schools. Mike also owns Digital Age Solution, an I.T. firm offering Managed Services, Computer Repairs & Sales, Voice Over IP Telephone Service, Networking, and Software Engineering. Mike actively participates in the community in various roles including: Walkersville Planning & Zoning Commission Member, Kaleidoscope 4-H Club Leader, Friends of Walkervsille Library, Vice-President, Frederick County 4-H Camp & Activities Center, Inc. Walkersville Schedules Public Hearing on Crime

As discussed during a Town Meeting last month, the Town of Walkersville will host a public hearing on crime in Walkersville. The public hearing has been schedule for September 9, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in Walkersville’s Town Hall. The meeting was proposed by Town Commissioner Chad Weddle, candidate for Burgess of Walkersville, after he agreed to do so as part of mediation with residents of Old Town Walkersville. Walkersville Election Shapes Up

The Town of Walkersville will hold election for Burgess and Town Commissioners on Monday, September 14, 2015. Registered voters may cast their ballots from noon until 8 p.m. Town Commissioner Chad Weddle will be running unopposed for Burgess of Walkersville. The Burgess serves as the chief executive officer and head of the administrative branch for the Town of Walkersville. Current Burgess Ralph Whitmore chose earlier in the year not to seek re-election. Last Day to File for Walkersville Election

Today is the last day to file as a candidate in the Town of Walkersville’s election this year. As of 10:30 this morning, Town Commissioner Chad Weddle was the only candidate for Burgess and five candidates were filed for the five Town Commissioner seats. Four of the five candidates are incumbents: Debbie Zimmerman, Russell Winch, Donald Schildt, and Gary Baker. The fifth candidate to file is Mary Ann Brodie-Ennis, a member of the Walkersville Parks Committee. Residents have until 4:30 p.m. today to file their candidacy papers at Walkersville Town Hall.
