Last Day to File for Walkersville Election
Today is the last day to file as a candidate in the Town of Walkersville’s election this year. As of 10:30 this morning, Town Commissioner Chad Weddle was the only candidate for Burgess and five candidates were filed for the five Town Commissioner seats. Four of the five candidates are incumbents: Debbie Zimmerman, Russell Winch, Donald Schildt, and Gary Baker. The fifth candidate to file is Mary Ann Brodie-Ennis, a member of the Walkersville Parks Committee.
Residents have until 4:30 p.m. today to file their candidacy papers at Walkersville Town Hall.
