Walkersville High Science Olympiads Excel

On Saturday, 24 of Walkersville High School Science Olympiad team members made the trip to Washington, DC to compete at the National Cathedral School Invitational Tournament.  This tournament involved twenty teams, mostly from schools three or four times the size of Walkersville, including schools from Fairfax, Montgomery or Howard Counties.  Despite the difference in the size of schools, Walkersville students did a great job in many events! Walkersville Community Mourns Loss and Prays

The Walkersville Community is reeling from a terrible accident yesterday afternoon. Walkersville High School graduates Christian Thomason and Tyler Holland were in the single vehicle accident along with Jared Spangler of Reisterstown. Mr. Thomason did not survive the accident. Maryland State Police report that he was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. Tyler Holland, one of the two passengers flown to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, is in the Intensive Care Unit at the Trauma Center. This evening, medical staff listed his condition as…

Vehicle Fire on Crum Road

At 5:07 p.m. on July 8, 2015, Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Resuce Companies were dispatched to the 8400 block of Crum Road in Walkersville for a vehicle fire. Chief 11-1 arrived on the scene to find one car fully involved. Ambulance 247 arrived on the scene to stage and assisted with patient care. Engine Tanker 114 arrived on the scene and pulled 1 ¾ line.
