Gas Station Re-Opening

Ahmed Hudhud presented plans for re-opening the gas station on Sandstone Drive to the Walkersville Planning Commission for approval and to the Burgess and Town Commissioners this week. During the Walkersville Planning Commission meeting Tuesday night, members of the commission questioned some of the plans designs and the history of the property. Strategies for Changing Problem Behavior in Children

Frederick County Public Schools Partners for Success will present a conference for parents, family members, caregivers and interested professionals on behavior modification. The $20 per person conference will be on Saturday, March 21, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Washington County Technical High School (50 West Oak Ridge Drive Hagerstown, MD 21740 (near the Outlets). Maryland State Department of Education supports this program with funding. Star Reader Family Reading Night

Come one, come all to Walkersville Elementary School’s next Star Reader Family Reading Night on Tuesday, February 10th from 6:30pm to 7:00pm. This month the Star Readers are 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Pickett and Hood Intern, Ms. Burda. WHS Fundraisers

WHS PTSA Safe and Sound will be conducting  a Cash and Gift Card BINGO event at New Midway Fire Hall Saturday, February 7, 2015.  Doors open at 11:30 am and games begin at 1:00 pm.  Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  Food will be available from the New Midway Fire Company and there will be a Bake Sale table sponsored by the WHS PTSA Safe and Sound.  Reservations for tickets may be made by contacting safeandsoundwhs@gmail.com.  All proceeds benefit the WHS PTSA Safe and Sound Committee…
