Accident on U.S. 15
In the early morning of June 9, 2015, Walkersville Volunteer Rescue Company (Co.24) and Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company (Co.11) were dispatched to U.S. 15 and Sundays Lane for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
D11 arrived on scene and advised Frederick County Emergency Communications Center (ECC) that the accident was found to be at U.S. 15 and Hansonville Road. A car was located off the road and down the embankment with the patient out of the vehicle.
Ambulance 248 and Medic 2 arrived on the scene and provided patient care. Engine 111 arrived on the scene and checked for leaking fluid. RS24 and C24-1 arrived on the scene and provided traffic control due to rush hour traffic.
Patient refused care and units went in service at 5:30 a.m.
