Discovery Resident Arrested for Heroin Possession in Frederick

jamesdavidcoakleyFrederick Police arrested James David Coakley of Discovery on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 for possession of heroin, and paraphernalia including hypdermic syringes.  Mr. Coakley is twenty years old and lives on Vision Lane in Discovery.

Officer Christopher Stanley responded to the area of Mill Pond Road and Waterside Drive, at the request of an off-duty Frederick Police officer, for a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival Officer Stanley located a woman and a man, later identified as James David Coakley, by a park pavilion.  Frederick Police did not identify the woman found with Mr. Coakley.

Upon further investigation, a hypodermic syringe was recovered from Mr. Coakley with suspected heroin residue. Mr. Coakley was placed under arrest and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center’s central booking unit.
