Unified Tennis Team Beats Frederick

On Monday, the Unified Tennis team battled Frederick and came out victorious and a little tired.
The team won all of their matches but one. “Everyone went out there and played their hardest and they were rewarded,” said Coach Debra Phebus.
“All the players worked really hard to get the win Monday and if we continue to practice hard and play the game we’ll have another state championship,” said junior David Byard.
Unified sports join people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. While training and playing together friendships are formed and understandings are created.
The next match is home Wednesday October 8th versus Thomas Johnson High School.
