TransIT Walkersville Bus Route Changes
To reduce duplicate service, improve on-time service, and provide additional service to downtown Walkersville,
TransIT proposes to eliminate the southbound service to Riverbend Way @ Monocacy Boulevard (Wal-Mart) on
all trips, Monday through Saturday, and to provide additional service to downtown Walkersville at 11:45 a.m.,
1:45, and 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, effective Monday, August 3, 2015. TransIT will continue to provide
northbound service to Riverbend Way @ Monocacy Blvd. (Wal-Mart) on every trip.
TransIT expects these changes to improve on-time arrivals at the Transit Center (downtown Frederick MARC
Station), ensuring that passengers are able to transfer easily to other Connector routes to continue to their destinations.
