Maryland State Police Investigate Collision Over the Weekend

At 10:33 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017, a Trooper assigned to the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack came upon a serious two vehicle collision that had just occurred. Preliminary on scene investigation reveals that a 2013 Nissan Frontier truck was traveling West on Maryland Route 26. The Nissan Frontier truck struck the rear of a 2014 Mazda passenger vehicle that was stopped at the traffic light controlling the intersection of Sebastian Boulevard and Maryland Route 26. Bus Collision at Walkersville High School

Two school buses were involved in a collission this afternoon at Walkersville High School.  One bus rear ended the other bus.  An investigation is under way to discover the circumstances leading to this collision. Bus 584 on route W-15 and Bus 763 on route W-23 were involved. Both buses were full of students at the time.  Some students were transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for evaluation of injuries.  The majority of students were unharmed.  School officials were contacting parents, and substitute buses were being sent to transport students.
