Storms Fail to Dampen Carnival and Parade

Last night’s rain failed to dampen the Hometown Parade and Carnival activities in Walkersville! Though an accident on MD 194 delayed the parade, everyone enjoyed the parade filled with emergency equipment, community groups, businesses, and horses! Folks along the parade route collected candy, got squirted by the Kaleidoscope 4-H Club’s pool float, and cheered on the bands and dance troupes.
Afterward, City Slickers Band took to the stage and entertained the crowds with a variety of music as they rode rides, played games, and dined on the many food choices!
Tonight, the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company’s Carnival continues with Rock N Roll Relics on stage. Fried Shrimp, Roast Beef & Ham will be served from 4:30-7:30 in the banquet hall.
Tonight and Thursday will feature a Special Ride All Night Wristband 6:00-10:30.
