It’s hard to miss all of the activity taking place at the Sheetz along Maryland 194 in Walkersville these days. In July of last year, the Walkersville Planning Commission approved plans for a new and larger store with more amenities on the lot. Over the winter, building of the new store has been fast and furious.
Today, the car wash delivered on the backs of two trucks. According to Sheetz representatives, the car wash offers customers a computer order screen similar to ordering M-T-O food that accepts credit cards or a code from the gas pump. “When you buy gas, you will be offered a choice of buying a car wash,” explained Michael LaCesa, Director of Real Estate for Sheetz in the Eastern Region. So, it is an M-T-O Car Wash.
The new Sheetz will also provide an M-T-O Drive-Thru. Customers will no longer have to park and enter the store to get food and drinks. They can pull-up to an outdoor M-T-O screen to order food before picking up their order at a drive-up window.
For those wishing to sit-down and eat their food, the new store will offer seating indoors and out.
